Each edition of this ezine is a work of love on the part of our contributors. We have no paid personnel nor does anyone earn anything. Once again this month Pastor Espinosa continues his study of Why We Study God's Word. This time he reminds us that our sinful flesh resists the very idea of Bible study. Consequently, the only way to battle that resistance is to crucify the old Adam.
Larry Harvey begins a series of articles on the eight Beatitudes spoken by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5.
Pastor Dobberfuhl continues to reflect upon the Bible and life on his daily walks. This month he shares a wonderful story about a pastor confronted with the task of making peace at the very beginning of his ministry in a particular congregation. Pr. D. reminds us that we are all called to be peace makers.
In the first of my two articles I point to the severe problem we face in Texas as we attempt to carry out a recent law permitting the Bible to be taught in public high schools.
My final article points to the reality that there are many men called Jesus by the Jews, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and others. The only true Jesus is the Jesus of the Bible.
